Cat in the Window

This piece came through a challenge to create an image reflecting Solitude, which brought to mind how a single cat sitting in a window will always center
itself perfectly as if framed by the window and look perfectly at home there all by itself. The cat image came together rather quickly. What took more time
in this piece was the brick wall edging, which I built up in strips using a more traditional piecing method than I usually use.
Another part of the challenge was to use representational abstract forms, and while I did not so closely adhere to that aspect, I allowed myself to be
more free with the structural details.
