Calvin the Cat

Description

A friend at the Framingham Artists Guild brought in a photo of Calvin, her cat, and it was an intriguing challenge to try to capture that feline expression! I used a green fabric with a sprinkling of gold for the background, to bring out the green eyes a bit, and used a radiating pattern of beads to help focus in on him.  Though the original Calvin has passed, this picture is now living in the home of Calvin’s friend and mine, Sharon Cunningham.
