I thought to revisit the satin with batting technique that I used in the Satin Flower, but this
time using different colors of satin. The background is light blue and white satin sewn with waves,
then layered with batting. Thread-painting, with some of the fancy stitches from my sewing machine,
holds it together, adding seaweed and more wave motion. The fish were added as little pillow-like
pieces, with Angelina fiber tacked on for fins and tails. The printed-on-fabric treasure chest and
castle were the final touch to fill in those spaces. They changed it from my original idea of an
ocean scene to an aquarium.
