The brick fabric, from a shirt that my husband once wore, was the starting point here, with brown corduroy for the roof. I have finally decided to buy the “fat quarters” now offered for quilters, when I see interesting fabrics, since we really have all the clothing we need at this point — though that is not going to stop me from making the occasional shirt! I also bought the coarse green stuff for the lawn, and made fringes for the grass verges. The sky is blue and white flannel with a few puffs of cotton clouds.
