Description
This past year I have at times taken a bag of miscellaneous fabric pieces and gone to the Framingham Artists Guild room on Wednesdays when the guild room is opened for those wanting to come create art. For me, it is like creating with a limited palette, and it has surprised me that this can be so helpful. Contemplative Blue was created in this manner, almost totally pieced and pinned together in one session.
Once home, I can take my time sewing the pieces together, though I found that I needed to go out to buy an appropriate piece for the border. I added a few beads here and there, and some foil applied as stems in the central blue plant and in spots over the paisley shapes.
