Forest Tapestry began with the edge, which came from a bedspread printed in India. The edge was cut away from a circular pattern and the corners were thereafter scrap fabric, which I often work with! And as often happens with me, a small collection of other fabrics popped out, and pieces from them helped to create the picture. This piece has a very simple frame, the height just an inch longer than the width.
This piece won Second Prize at the September 2017 Premier Image art show for the Framingham Artists Guild and First Prize at the December 2017 Guild Show at the Framingham Public Library!
