Description
While the bright-leafed tree might be the centerpiece here, I thought that the butterflies might provide the better title. They came from a batik scrap, and it simply did not have two full butterflies in it, so I hid the missing part behind some of the foliage! They were almost the last element to go in, as the path in the red part in the foreground began the development phase, with other fabrics, some batik and some not, came later.
The shape is a compromise between my love of irregular shapes and the more traditional rectangle, as I simply cut the corners to bring them to a rounded shape, and added a narrow border whose dark brown color brings out the tree trunk.
