Description
This is my first attempt to create a scene with reflection in water. Fabric patterns seldom are helpful with providing a piece that could be used as a mirror image in a reflection, so here I used Angelina® fiber, in the sky for moon and clouds, and in the pool as their reflections. The woods are pieced from a lovely fabric with woodlands; my husband has a summer shirt with that cloth, and we joke that it should not be worn outdoors during hunting season!
When the picture was finished, I felt it needed something to help set it off, and the black fabric backing did the trick. I still did not want to frame it, and the square corners it originally had ran counter to the curves of the piece. Once rounded off, the corners felt like they belonged.
