Waterfall

Description

The subject of this piece was determined as soon as I saw the $4.99 bag of “decorative shred” at A.C. Moore; the challenge for this Fast Friday Fabric Challenge was to incorporate something not usually used in quilted art that could be purchased for under five dollars! I also used Angelina® fiber to give the waterfall its color, and added a layer of fine white tulle over the shred to keep it contained. And here and there, a tinsel bead glitters from the falling water.

Waterfall won the Framingham Artists Guild Painting of the Month award for January 2008.
