Description
This past summer I took a bag of fabric scraps as an art demonstrator for the Framingham Artists Guild, and this is what I made of them! The background is one piece, and the circular motifs from similar black and white pieces fit in the corners, with some whispy plants growing out of two other scraps. Then the lacy gold mesh overlaid on the upper left corner completed the layout during that session. The two fish came in later, and the gold mesh laid over black gives the piece a striking border.
As for the shape, I like the regular but unusual aspect of the curved sides. It is similar to a piece from 2008, Alien Garden.
