Blowing in the Wind

Description

For Blowing in the Wind, I wanted to incorporate part of my collection of tulle and other lacey fabric and layer it in to my collage. The ferny fronds were scraps from my Big Tree from 2008, and the brown piece with the five-petalled flowers were cut from fabric bought for set of curtains, a purpose I had found they were not suitable for! I have no memory of the original purpose for the piece that overlays the sky fabric, but I liked the effect of the sequins. And then beading along all the fronds’ central veins adds the final touch.
