Description
This picture dates from the time before I would buy fabric specifically for art work, and therefore several pieces of clothing contributed scraps to its composition! The roof and door are brown corduroy, and my wardrobe has blouses with the sky, snow and house fabric. The tree is thread-painted using a dark-green thread and one of the fancier stitches in my sewing machine. And this is probably one of the only times I have ever used the “duck” stitch for the swimmers in the pond! Extra snow on the tree and house is fabric paint.
The house stood alone for a while, overlooking the pond, until I found the moose applique and added that in. |
