Shrine

Description

The Post Road Art Gallery gave a challenge to create a piece of art to fit the theme “Sanctuary”.  This led my eye to a small piece of fabric with a scattering of glyphs that resembled primitive cave paintings. I combined two of them for my central figure and surrounded him with a colorful swirl to indicate his power, ensconced him in a grotto with a rectangular arch, a night sky behind and silver foliage. The border reflects back to the primitive nature of the image.
