This piece started off with a Fast Friday Fabric Challenge to take a traditional quilt pattern and go wild with it — and it is so far off from the log cabin pattern that traditional quilters don’t recognize it!
As with some of these challenges, however, there was a delay in the final completion. I wanted just three-quarters of a frame, and no frame shop would do that. I ended up getting the do-it-yourself type, and attached the “overflow” to spill out over the bottom.
