Oddly enough, View of Mt. Fuji started with the irregularly striped blue fabric which became the sky, followed by the mountain, the bit of fabric that formed the ice cap, then foliage and the rocky foreground, and the tree plunked in to the left. I found a frame of almost the right size, so I added the bit of grass at the bottom to make it fit the frame! But as arresting a sight as Mount Fuji is, please don’t try to find the exact aspect that fits this picture, since I used a memory and not a photo as inspiration!
