Wondrous Tree

Description

Wondrous Tree began with the leafy brown fabric, somewhat orange, and big leaves. This is often how I have created trees. The sky is from a recently retired shirt, so much washed and faded from the original – but not too bright to overwhelm the tree!  The rest of this somewhat rugged landscape comes from various scraps I had on hand.

While the tree is obviously the prominent feature here, it was hard to give a title that would sound attractive. Brown Tree seemingly indicates either a dead tree or at least one past its prime fall colors.  And yet this tree is flamboyant, even cheerful!  I ended up with “Wondrous” to sound intriguing, and I hope that works!
