Houndstooth Garden

Description

When I received a set of coordinated fat quarters of fabrics incorporating the same houndstooth checkered patterns, they had to get used together, and the fact that one of the fabrics had flowers and gingko leaves with the blue houndsteeth (if I may use that as a plural!) was a guide to the direction the picture would go. The butterflies then landed on top. Just one more subtle element found its way into the whole, a layer of navy blue tulle, very light weight, covers the whole surface, except for the butterflies, which each have a “shadow” of the same tulle.
