Description
Scarlet Serenity grew from four red patterned fabrics I received in a bundle of red fat quarters, plus some wild designs in 5″ squares that I won last spring which were Kaffe Fasset patterns, plus the orangey-red leaf fabric which formed the tree. The green border was suggested by some fellow artists to offset all that red, and help a bit of the green show up in the small circles.
While it all comes together in a rather intense, even eye-searing way, a friend remarked that it still was a peaceful scene, hence the title, an unlikely linking of red and calm.
